A city in the Middle East held a competition for the development of the site of the National Stadium. Four international groups were invited and CRAB combined with Populous and Bollinger + Grohmann (engineers for the Kunsthaus Graz) on the $1.3 billion project.
A dynamic structural web rises from a winding podium system to define the Stadium as a celebratory element.
The ground area is developed as a series of housing and office towers and hotel. Intermixed with this is a
‘cultural village’ that rehouses the already successful city art museum and sets the scene for the revival of the area with its growing recreational area.
Detail information confidential as we await competition results.
